Hooray! I saw Uncle Ben and Auntie Clare get married in Sacramento last week. First we went to San Francisco for a few days because Mommy had a conference for work there and she wanted to take me because she loves being with me, and who could blame her? We got there by flying on a great big airplane! In San Francisco Daddy and I walked all over town. My favorite was Chinatown because of all the fun toys and colors. We stayed at a fancy hotel, but the bathtub plug there didn’t work, so I didn’t bathe for a couple of days… It was surprisingly fun to be a stink bug. Finally, on the day we were leaving for the rehearsal dinner, Daddy thought I was too smelly so he put me in the sink to freshen up. It felt good on my hiney and I was happy to be clean again. At the wedding I wore my brand new suit and Boppo held me and I flirted with a girl in the pew behind me. At the wedding reception I ate, danced, took a nap, and danced some more… It was exhausting, but I love to party!

Hello Everyone! I have teeth! Two of them! And I’m really getting the hang of crawling and I like pulling myself up to stand as long as there is something to hold on to. Yesterday was Easter. On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy took me to a BBQ at my friend Tanner’s house. There was an Easter egg hunt there and I found one! There was something that looked delicious inside, but Mommy and Daddy said I had to wait until next year for that. They did let me have a few refried beans though, which were yummy, but probably not as tasty as those jelly beans. Yesterday they took me to the Presbyterian Church and I opened presents from Nanny and Boppo and Grammy and Pop Pop and Mommy and Daddy. Easter is pretty sweet.

Hi Everyone! Sorry it’s been so long — I’ve been awfully busy growing. I’m making “mamamamama” and “dadadadada” sounds now. Mommy and Daddy like to think I’m saying their names, and who knows, maybe I am… I’m so close to crawling I just can’t wait. As soon as I can crawl I’m going to chase my kitty all over the house… Mommy and Daddy were looking in my mouth the other day and I heard them say they see a tooth trying to break through. As you know, teeth = crackers, so I’m way excited about this. I’ve been being a really big boy sleeping all the way through the night and taking longer naps during the day. Hello Everyone! I’m 6 months old now! I turned 6 months yesterday and let me tell you, I am one big boy. I can even prove it — Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor and they say I am 28 inches long and a little over 19 pounds! Now that I’m a big boy I can start eating big boy food. Tonight for dinner I am going to get sweet potatoes!

Mommy and Daddy decided I had a problem sleeping at night so they’ve been letting me “cry it out” when I get fussy in the middle of the night. It’s kind of scary, but I know it’s good for me to not be waking up so many times during the night… it seems to be working… last night I woke up only once and when I fell back asleep, I slept for 9 hours straight.

Last weekend we went to the beach. We stayed in a little town called Rockaway about 10 miles north of the Tillamook Cheese factory. Mommy and Daddy said they will take me back there when I’m old enough to eat cheese, so in the meantime I will continue to make my own cheese. The highlight of the weekend is when we went to a crabbing dock and saw a bunch of crabby crabs in a tub and a nice man took some of the crabs and cooked them for us. One minute the crabs were playing in the tub, and the next minute they were being cooked for dinner. I’m glad I’m not a crab.
